About Us

Thomas Forbach, D.C.
Experience

During his 32 years in practice, Dr. Forbach has served as Ethics Chairman of the Kansas Chiropractic Association and was an adjunct instructor at Cleveland Chiropractic College for 22 years. Dr. Forbach has additional post graduate training ranging from orthopedics, sports injury, radiology, acupuncture, to various chiropractic techniques.

A Modern Approach to Chiropractic Care
Early in his career, he learned about Activator Methods Technique, a gentle, low-force technique that uses a hand held instrument to realign the patient's spine and extremities and restore proper nerve function. The Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (AMCT) has evolved from 41 years of clinical study and uses the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examinations to find joint dysfunction in the spinal column and extremities and restore it to health.

Use of the Activator Adjusting Instrument gives consistent low-force, chiropractic adjustments. It is a very safe and highly effective procedure for all types and ages of patients, and is one of the most researched techniques in Chiropractic. Dr. Forbach was drawn to this technique because of the superior results he achieved with patients.

After utilizing this procedure in his office for a few years and becoming Advanced Proficiency Rated, he joined Activator Methods, Inc. as an instructor. Currently, he is a platform instructor traveling to other cities to teach doctors this modern technique in post-graduate classes.

Background

Dr. Forbach grew up in the Kansas City area, going to elementary school in Prairie Village and graduating from Raytown South High School. He received his undergraduate degree in Zoology from the University of Missouri in Columbia. His Doctor of Chiropractic degree is from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis. After working for another Chiropractic Doctor in St. Louis for a few months, Dr. Forbach moved back to Overland Park and set up his own private practice in 1977 in Lenexa, Kansas. He and his family have lived in the Blue Valley area for the last 17 years.

Craig Koshlap, D.C.
Experience

Dr. Koshlap is currently in his 9th year of practice. He has over two years experience working in a personal injury clinic, caring for patients who have been involved in automobile accidents. He also has experience working in a family practice. Dr. Koshlap is a licensed chiropractor in the states of Kansas, Missouri and Florida.

Background
Dr. Koshlap grew up in the Tampa/Clearwater area of Florida. He graduated from Countryside High School and attended college at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy in 1996. From there, he moved up to Marietta, Georgia (outside of Atlanta) to begin chiropractic school. He graduated with a doctor of chiropractic degree in March of 2000. Dr. Koshlap moved back down to Florida after chiropractic school, working with the chiropractor who treated him since he was 4 years old. In Florida, Dr. Koshlap met his future wife, a Kansas girl who was on vacation at the time. They were married in the spring of 2004 and moved to the Kansas City area. Dr. Koshlap joined the practice of Dr. Forbach in August of 2004.

Why Dr. Koshlap Became a Chiropractor
When he was about 4 years old, Craig was very pigeon toed. It was so bad he would trip over his feet while walking or running. His parents took him to see various medical doctors. One suggested putting him in leg braces. Luckily another suggested trying chiropractic care. Craig's parents took him to a chiropractor in Dunedin, Florida, who explained that the problem was coming from the hips and pelvis. After about a month of chiropractic care, his legs were back to normal! The chiropractor further explained the benefits of regular chiropractic adjustments and how it can boost children's immune systems. Craig's parents decided to get both him and his sister under regular chiropractic care (and themselves a few years later). Craig grew up with chiropractic and, by the time he was in 8th grade, knew he was meant to be a chiropractor!
